Print the current sheet to scale

  1. Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
  2. From the Takeoff tab, open the sheet you want to print.
  3. Set to Zoom on Sheets for the sheet. The view in the main window is what will print.
  4. Click on the upper toolbar or right-click on the sheet and select Print.
  5. Click Select Printer to select a printer other than the default printer.
  6. If you want to change the page setup, click Setup. Then do the following:
    1. In the Size field, click to select the paper size.
    2. In the Source field, click to select the printer tray that contains the paper size you selected.
    3. In the Orientation field, select the option button for the paper orientation.
    4. In the Margins fields, enter each margin, left, right, top, and bottom, in inches.
    5. Click OK.
  7. If you want to add a header and footer to the printout, click Header. Click Defaults to set the Header to the job number and Footer to the date or do the following:
    1. In the Company field, click to select the company to include in the footer text. If you select a company, the date is also included in the footer.
    2. To add a header, select the Enable Header checkbox and enter the header text.
    3. To add a footer, select the Enable Footer checkbox and enter the footer text.
    4. Click Fonts to change the font of the header and footer text.
    5. Click OK.
  8. Click Print To Scale to select the scale for the printout. Then do the following:
    1. Select one of the options below for Unit System:
      • Imperial

      • Metric

    2. Select the Scale property:
      • Architectural – Select the scale from the drop-down. This option is only available when the unit system is imperial.

      • Engineering – Select the scale from the drop-down. This option is only available when the unit system is imperial.

      • Metric – Select the scale from the drop-down. This option is only available when the unit system is metric.

      • Compensated – Select this option to manually set the scale of the drawing when the scale is known, but not listed in the other options. Enter the linear footage per inch (for metric, meter per horizontal meter) for both the X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) values.

    3. Click OK. The sheet is printed with the selected scale.
  9. Click Close.
